Shawnee Christenson has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and has been educating clients to find the best policy for their needs. Shawnee is owner of Crosstown Insurance and has served on the Minnesota state chapter board since 2015. She recently co-founded Lochloosa to help support other agents within their communities.
Shawnee graduated from University of Minnesota with a Sociology Degree. Shortly after graduating college, she worked for a captive, before becoming an insurance broker. In 2011, she started Crosstown Insurance (with a focus on Medicare and Individual Sales) and quickly surround herself with other experts in the industry. Actively participating in the organization, she experienced rapid professional and personal growth. What became apparent was how the legislative work that NABIP provides benefited the customers served.
Shawnee and her husband raise two boys in the Twin Cities and her agency continues to grow year over year. She is truly passionate about the positive effect a great agent can have on the people in their community and looks to ensure that there is a NABIP agent in every community.
