This 4-hour certification program, conducted over two afternoons, will equip English-speaking benefits brokers with the knowledge and skills to support Spanish-speaking employees throughout the benefits lifecycle ethically, legally, and effectively. With a focus on regulatory standards, cultural competency, and suitability, brokers will learn how to ensure all employees—regardless of language ability—receive accurate, accessible, and appropriate benefit offerings. Through real-world case studies and insurance- specific scenarios, brokers will gain insight into how language and cultural factors affect benefit understanding, plan selection, and ongoing support.
By strengthening their ability to serve linguistically diverse workforces, brokers will be better positioned to advise employer clients, reduce the risk of errors and omissions (E&O), and fulfill ethical obligations under state and federal guidelines.
