United Benefit Advisors® (UBA) has surveyed employers nationwide to create the definitive employee benefits database. This valued data is used to create this annual report highlighting national employer-sponsored health plan trends by region, state, industry, and size. In addition, this year’s report includes various non-medical employee benefits to reflect employers enhancing their benefit programs.

This small business health insurance survey from NFIB offers data that is not otherwise widely available to better understand this relationship and the challenges small business owners face when dealing with health insurance for themselves and their employees.

This is the 27th annual Employer Health Benefits Survey. As in years past, the survey examines trends in employer-sponsored health coverage, including premiums, employee contributions, cost-sharing provisions, offer rates, wellness programs, and employer practices. This year we asked employers detailed questions about their provider networks, approaches to primary care, menopause support benefits, and coverage for GLP-1 agonists for weight loss, as well as which overall factors they believe have contributed to premium growth.
