2. When does the new policy take effect?

The policy takes effect on September 15, 2026.

3. How much is the service fee on card payments?

A 3% service fee will be added to all card payments. NABIP PAC contributions and NABIP Foundation donations are not subject to the service fee.

4. What types of payments are subject to the service fee?

The service fee applies to card payments, including:

  • Membership dues
  • Event registrations
  • NABIP Learning Institute purchases
  • Other products and services purchased through NABIP

NABIP PAC contributions and NABIP Foundation donations are not subject to the 3% service fee.

5. Will this fee appear as a separate line item?

Yes. The fee will be displayed separately as a service fee at checkout before you complete your payment.

6. What payment options are available without a service fee?

There are no service fees for payments made by ACH/EFT or check. Members who switch to ACH/EFT can continue making recurring payments without incurring a fee.

7. Can I still pay by check?

Yes. NABIP continues to accept payments by check. No service fee applies to payments made by check.

Yes. Beginning September 15, recurring membership payments charged to a card will automatically include the 3% service fee unless you switch to ACH/EFT.
