Dave Sherrill has been in the insurance industry for 30 years and an active member of NABIP since 1995. He has been the President and CEO of Sherrill Insurance Brokerage since 2016, after joining his dad’s business in 1993. Sherrill Insurance Brokerage supports independent agents in the sale of Medicare products and Life Insurance.
His service to NABIP began as Legislative Chair for his local Central Florida chapter in 1997. After serving in many roles at the local and state level, including Florida State President in 2003-2004, he was retained as Executive Director for the Florida Association in 2006. In 2011, he took on this role for the Central Florida chapter, as well. In 2023, he co-founded Kapsher Consulting, LLC., an Association Management Company, to offer support to other chapters around the country.
Having served on national task forces and working groups and as Professional Development, Membership and Retention Chair at the Regional level, he was honored to be asked and elected to serve as Region 5 VP in 2023.
Dave makes his home in Oviedo, FL. He is an avid poker player and huge NBA fan (Go Magic!!). He has 2 adult children, who are both graduates of the University of Central Florida.
