The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) was passed by Congress and then signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010. It was amended via the budget reconciliation process several days later and President Obama signed the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 on March 30, 2010.
