With nearly 20 years in the business, Alexis works for Alera group as a senior benefits consultant. She specializes in self-funded clients and has a special interest in compliance. She has worked in many facets of the business, including the carrier side, enrollment services, and now on the consulting side.
Alexis has served as both a local and state legislative chair for her local Pennsylvania chapter of NABIP. In this capacity, she considers herself privileged to be able to share her clients’ needs and challenges directly with lawmakers working on health insurance policy. She also sits on the Employer Benefits Working Group for the legislative team at the national level.
Alexis believes her relationship with the association to be among the most rewarding parts of her time in the industry and considers the role of the broker to be vital to our industry and our insureds. Among her passions is connecting with our newest NABIP members and future leaders to foster a passion for advocacy in our industry. She loves speaking about the lawmaking, the political process, and how our members can make a difference at various events on behalf of NABIP and the Pennsylvania chapter.
Alexis considers herself a lifelong learner and completed her Master of Studies in Law from Pitt Law, with a graduate certificate in healthcare compliance law in 2024. She and her fiancé are building their dream home together in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Among her silliest and most favorite traditions, every year for Halloween she plans a themed costume with her dog. Together they have been Princess Leia and Han Solo, Scooby Doo and Velma, and most recently, steampunk.
